I'm Martin Shelton, a UX researcher with the press and at-risk groups.

At my day job, I lead user research on privacy, security, and identity at Google Chrome.

I study and teach digital security practices for journalists. I also write about it for OpenNews Source.

As part of the OpenNews Fellowship, I previously worked with The Coral Project at The New York Times.

Before that, I worked with Google's Privacy UX Research team, Pew Research, and Twitter as an intern.

I made Tinfoil.press to connect people interested in journalism, media activism, and security.
