Introduction to digital security for journalism, in one video

#1

I've updated my one-lecture journalism security primer, from a talk at the Kiplinger Fellows program at Ohio State yesterday.

Includes:

  • Basic digital security precautions that everyone in a news organization should take (2FA, phishing, disk encryption)

  • How to think strategically about security (threat modeling)

  • Recipes to solve specific reporting problems (secure communication, handling leaks, crossing borders, and so on.)

Edit: I had the wrong URL before (went to my channel, not this specific video)
