Cryptomator - safe and secure to use?

I am playing around with Cryptomator to encrypt folders on my hard drive. It is free and open source and offers client-side encryption for the cloud as well.

I wanted to know whether anyone else has used it, whether there are any issues that I am unaware of and whether it is recommended to use.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I just came across this now, and am very interested if anyone's reviewed it, audited or is using it actively. It seems to be in the too good to be true category.
